Position Overview
As a Flatbed Tow Operator, you will recover vehicles for MEI Auto Finance in a safe, professional, and timely manner. You will work internally with the lender—no outside tows and never on call. You’ll operate a designated tow truck, respond to accident or breakdown recovery calls, ensure vehicle maintenance, and perform minor repairs as needed. This role requires independence, technical skill, and the ability to manage non-traditional work hours when assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to dispatch calls and verify tow details

• Plan routes to ensure efficient vehicle recovery

• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly tow quotas

• Provide thorough reports on pick-up and delivery logistics

• Perform minor tow truck repairs and routine maintenance

• Conduct simple repairs on towed vehicles (e.g., flat tires, jump-starts)

• Take and email photos of each tow as required

• Perform regular truck inspections and maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years flatbed tow truck experience

• Minimum 2 years repossession driving experience

• Good communication skills and ability to remain calm under stress

• General understanding of automotive mechanics

• Career-minded, able to work independently without constant supervision

Requirements

• Valid Texas Driver’s License and TDLR license; must meet MEI insurability standards

• Must be at least 24 years old (insurance requirements)

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

• Willingness to learn new software and procedures

• Availability for day or evening shifts based on department needs

• Background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Compensation & Schedule

• 100% commission
