Training is available for many positions.Position Summary : The primary responsibilities of General Labor / Box Truck Driver will include loading delivery items, operating a box truck, and cleaning and maintaining equipment. When there are no current duties for loading trucks or making deliveries, you will assist in our shop until work becomes available. Lift-gate and forklift experience is a plus. Our customers expect their goods to arrive within a specific time frame, so you must be able to work independently and manage your time well. When spending time in the production shop, it will be required to fulfill and meet shop expectations and requirements Each task must be completed with safety, accuracy & timeliness in the insulating & crating area. You must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be familiar with surrounding neighborhoods. A commercial driver's license is not required for this position. Responsibilities : Core Functions : Drive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and scheduleDeliver or pick up items as instructedLoad and unload vehicle as necessaryDocument deliveries or log other shipment informationFollow DOT regulationsAccurately measure the interior dimensions the finished shell of the productInstall insulation material, lifting lugs, foil tape, & applicable labels to CDI's specificationsOperate glue guns, drill, sprayer, and pin spotter to complete assigned tasksReview and clean welds and apply cold galvanizing spray paint to CDI's specificationsTrack and log work via computer / tablet and send the product to the next stepAccurately measure finished product to determine critical dimensions & weightsThrough use of various power tools cut lumber to correct measurements for cratingConstruction shipping crate through use of pneumatic nail guns and various power toolsPrepare units for shippingLoad completed product on trucks in line with the carrier, DOT and CDI's requirementsEffectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedulesOther duties as assigned Requirements Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Valid driver's license and a clean driving recordAt least 21 years old for insurance purposesAble to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.Must pass a background check and drug testExcellent communication skillsTrucking or warehouse experience a plusEmbraces and promotes CDI valuesEEO / Affirmative Action PolicyCDI is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits harassment of any kind.
