We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SALT Senior with a focus on state and local income tax to join our growing tax team. This role will provide high-quality compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base while contributing to staff development and team leadership.

- Prepare and review state and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities
- Research multistate income tax issues and develop client-focused planning strategies
- Respond to state tax notices, assist with audits, and represent clients in examinations
- Analyze state income tax law changes and their impact on clients’ operations and compliance
- Collaborate on nexus reviews, apportionment studies, and exposure analyses
- Review work prepared by staff, providing feedback to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Delegate and manage assignments, ensuring timely completion and clear communication of objectives
- Train, mentor, and provide developmental opportunities for staff
- Maintain strong client relationships and assist with business development initiatives
- Actively work toward or maintain CPA licensure
- Develop strong interpersonal and leadership skills while supporting staff and interns
- Maintain constructive working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Attend regular professional development and training sessions
- Continue to expand technical knowledge in SALT income tax
- Participate in mentoring, recruiting, and firm events
- Represent the Firm in a manner consistent with our values and Five Star philosophy
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license preferred
- 3–5 years of state and local income tax experience, preferably in public accounting

Salary : $75,000 - $98,000
