Carrier Sales (Truckload Brokerage)

Duties

• Develop and maintain robust relationships with carriers, clients, and partners to facilitate efficient freight movement.
• Negotiate rates, terms, and service agreements to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs.
• Coordinate with carriers and clients to plan transportation routes, schedules, and delivery timelines using transportation management systems (TMS).
• Manage inbound and outbound freight shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
• Utilize CRM software to track leads, manage client communications, and generate new business opportunities through lead generation activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues promptly, updating clients on shipment status, and maintaining clear communication channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams on logistics planning, shipping logistics coordination, and transportation sales strategies to improve overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation management systems (TMS), Motive and 411 to research carriers.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, shipping logistics, and transportation planning.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a customer-centric approach to client relationship management.
• Familiarity with trucking and working with common carrier), load planning, and vetting quality carriers to meet company policy for compliance. .
• Proficiency in following company SOP while developing data by primary and backup on lanes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of matching carrier to our internal customer service requirements.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
