As a Precision Swiss/Lathe Machining Technician on 2nd shift, you’ll run established CNC Swiss and CNC lathe equipment, keep quality tight, and help us continuously improve—while enjoying a consistent four-day workweek and three-day weekends.

Your mission

• Operate established CNC Swiss and lathe machines per setup sheets, work instructions, and JIM Books.
• Load materials; manage bar feeders; watch chip formation and coolant health.
• Perform routine tool changes and touch-offs to maintain part quality and throughput.
• Inspect in-process parts with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and thread gauges (as required).
• Confirm parts meet customer specifications before proceeding to full production.
• Monitor critical dimensions, segregate scrap, and document everything accurately in JobBOSS and job travelers.
• Raise concerns quickly to supervisors, Set-Up Techs, and Quality.
• Support 5S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of CNC machining experience with turning equipment (Swiss or lathe preferred).
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions in English.
• Competence using calipers and micrometers; solid basic math skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Bonus points

• Direct Swiss and/or CNC lathe experience in production.
• Mechanical aptitude and bar feeder familiarity.
• Experience with JobBOSS or similar software.
• Drive to move into CNC Swiss or CNC Lathe Set-Up positions.

• Write CNC programs all day.
• Do full machine setups from scratch.
• Work in an engineering-only capacity.

Compensation, benefits, and schedule

• Hourly pay: $19–$23/hr, based on experience.

• Full-time, 2nd shift; Monday–Thursday; four 10-hour shifts; three-day weekend every week.

Safety and physical demands

• Follow safety policies; know emergency stop procedures.
• Keep a clean, organized work area; report concerns immediately.
• Stand up to 10 hours; lift up to 25 lbs; maintain dexterity and visual acuity for small features.
• Stay focused during repetitive precision work.
