What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Superintendent position at CCS Construction Staffing?
The Superintendent role is a Leadership role within the company that is critical to the success of the Augusta Mechanical Contracting business. The Superintendent will take directions as necessary from the respective Project Managers responsible for each project. Supervisors will be expected to have good communication skills and be able to work well among themselves to coordinate activities of the Control Mechanics over the project.
Expectations/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all work and the activities of the Construction Mechanics on assigned projects.
- Work in conjunction with Project Managers and other Field Superintendents to ensure assigned work is completed as scheduled.
- Responsible for overall quality of project from start to completion.
- Ensure adequate work safety standards are defined and adhered to by the Construction Mechanics.
- Responsible for managing labor costs on each project.
- Review project drawings and submittals and perform all control take-offs on projects.
- Attend all necessary job site meetings with the General Contractor.
- Have scheduling plans ready for weekly labor meetings at Sig Cox with Project Managers.
- Make sure that the Mechanics understand the schedule for the week and what task need to be completed. The Superintendent needs to have contacted each crew that they are responsible for prior to Monday for weekly planning.
- Ensure adequate material is collected before the job starts.
- Coordinating with other Supervisors for conduit and device layout.
- Turn in all Sig Cox certifications once each task is completed.
- Once a crew completes a stage of the job. The mechanic and superintendent are to walk the job and agree on what is completed.
- Responsible for completing punch list on each job to ensure project is completed as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
