My client is currently looking for a HVAC Project Manager to support major commercial projects in the Phoenix/Tempe area. They're a strong full-service mechanical contractor that has been serving the state of Arizona for 40 years with many active projects in the pipeline right now and a strong backlog for future growth. They specialize in commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. They have a strong reputation in the Phoenix area and have won many awards for their work and culture!
What you will be doing:
- Manage HVAC construction projects from award through closeout.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and review project estimates, budgets, and cost projections.
- Perform quantity take-offs and analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Coordinate subcontractor pricing and assist with contract administration.
- Develop project schedules and organize project team activities.
- Monitor project progress, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to oversee construction activities and quality standards.
- Collaborate with drafting and design teams to support project execution.
- Manage project workload, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Approximately 70% office-based and 30% field-based.
What you need for this position:
- 5 years of HVAC commecial construction experience.
- Previous experience managing commercial mechanical or HVAC projects.
- Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
