A Registered Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis.

A Registered Behavior Technician is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis.
- The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support.
- The RBT practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BC-ABA and/or BCBA

- Complete RBT certification requirements and apply for the exam within 6 weeks (online training, live competency & exam)
- Travel at least up to 40 minutes
- Work in the school, home & community settings to fulfill program needs.
- Availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school day, afternoon and/or evening hours. Some weekends based on client authorization.
- Attend required supervision
- Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB
- Current certification in both CPR/First Aid and Safety Care Training (De-escalation, and Escorts & Restraints)
- Credentials and trainings in compliance for current service role (BHT, PCA, Para)
- Paperwork and BHT supervision attendance in good standing
- Work a minimum of 20 hours/week of billable services
- Minimum 90 days of service with CCRES in the H&CS program. 6 months employment - preferred
- Worked a minimum of 1 year directly with individuals with special needs - preferred
