Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) to monitor and control machinery.
• Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Oversee facilities maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
• Review preventive maintenance schedule.
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Communicate with Operators pre- and post-repair.
• Interact with Operators to troubleshoot, repair and test equipment.
• Communicate with Team Leader and/or Maintenance Supervisor on major repair needs discovered.
• Repair machines as needed.
• Attend annual RCRA training and other training as appropriate.
• Take out trash and clean up debris around the plant as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Experience

• Proven experience in maintenance roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience working with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
