What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preventive Maintenance Technician position at AM Industrial Group?
AM Industrial Group is looking for an experienced heavy equipment mechanic. The candidate will be responsible for heavy equipment (machinery, forklifts, trucks, cranes, telehandlers, etc.) maintenance to make sure they continue to run safely at optimum efficiency. The qualified candidate will oversee the basic building maintenance. This is an indoor full time position, M-F first shift schedule, pay commensurate with the experience and competitive benefits.
Duties:
- Maintains equipment schedule
- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle/machinery functionality and longevity
- Conduct routine maintenance work necessary for vehicle functionality
- Repair or replace broken parts and fix issues
- Familiar with parts and components of complex machines and engines
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents
- Experience with basic building maintenance
Skills:
- Able to look at the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system, identify the issue and think about possible solutions
- Attention to detail
- Great good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- Good communication and team player
- At least 3-5 years experience as a heavy equipment and machinery mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of the equipment
