What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscaper/Groundskeeper position at CCO, LLC?
We're seeking a skilled and reliable year-round outdoor maintenance professional to join our team. This full-time position combines landscaping and gardening work during spring, summer, and fall seasons with snow removal operations during winter months.
Primary Responsibilities:
Spring/Summer/Fall (Gardening & Landscaping):
- Lawn care including mowing, edging, and fertilization
- Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds
- Mulching and soil preparation
- Leaf removal and seasonal cleanup
- Irrigation system maintenance and winterization
- Hardscape maintenance (walkways, patios, retaining walls, asphalt/parking lots)
- General property maintenance and upkeep
Winter (Snow Removal):
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear driveways, parking lots, and pathways
- Salt/sand application for ice management prior to inclement weather
- Snow blowing and shoveling as needed to ensure safety for site visitors
- Equipment maintenance and preparation
- On-call availability during snow events
General Property Management
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Conduct inspections to identify potential maintenance needs
- Collaborate internally to complete maintenance projects
- Perform routine landscaping on the grounds (inc. but not limited to clearing debris and waste, trimming overgrown green areas)
- Power washing corporate locations
- Assist with other property management tasks and duties/assignments as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Proven experience in landscaping/gardening and/or snow removal
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
- Experience operating snow plows and related equipment
- Knowledge of plants, lawn care, and seasonal maintenance practices
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Physically able to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends during snow events
Preferred Skills:
- Equipment maintenance and repair knowledge
- Landscape design experience
- Commercial snow removal experience
Schedule: Full-time, 8-hours per day, year-round position with seasonal responsibilities. Winter hours may include on-call emergency response for snow events.
