Job Title: Associate, Advisor Practice Management (APM) Business Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA or Minnetonka, MN (Hybrid, minimum 3 days/week in office)
Overview
Cresset is seeking an APM Business Analyst to join our Advisor Practice Management team. This role will serve as the analytical backbone of the team, ensuring advisor data integrity, generating insights, and producing executive-ready materials that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in data analysis, enjoys building systems that enable continuous improvement, and wants to shape advisory performance strategy. This role blends analytics, business management, and cross-functional collaboration to advance the efficiency and impact of our advisory teams. We are looking for a candidate with 2–5 years of experience in an analytical and/or technical role, with a strong educational background that demonstrates intellectual rigor and quantitative ability. The ideal hire will be a go-to resource for data-driven insights, with the ability to break down complex problems, work confidently in spreadsheets and other tools, and learn new systems quickly. While the focus is technical, effective communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Who you would be working with
The APM team partners with Advisory leaders, Finance, Operations, Technology and other business units to optimize advisor performance and deliver exceptional outcomes to clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor to APM leadership, Regional Managing Directors (RMDs), their Delegates, and Executives while acting as the technology and data representative for the team. The work spans across Advisory practice management, adoption of digital tools, and development of insights that guide growth and strategy. This individual may be brought forth to work with Advisors in limited capacity as it relates to the Advisory digital experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Data & Analytics
- Maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reports to support Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful data through partnership with Finance and Operations.
- Continuously improve Advisor technology/digital experience by bringing key KPIs and information to advisors’ fingertips.
- Track and monitor advisor productivity, growth, and retention metrics.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and executive-level insights to APM leadership, RMDs, and firm executives.
Business Strategy & Operations
- Build analyses and presentations that influence leadership decisions.
- Support adoption and usage of CRM, planning, and reporting tools across advisory practices.
- Assist with risk management tasks, including compliance data monitoring.
- Manage data maintenance and provide support across advisor systems.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between advisory teams and internal stakeholders.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the technology representative for the APM team, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools.
- Partner with Technology and Operations to enhance workflows and ensure systems meet advisor needs.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
- Contribute to special projects for the Head of Advisory and APM leadership.
Qualifications and Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business management, consulting, or wealth management (experience in an RIA, wealth management, or financial services environment preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or equivalent BI tools).
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to distill insights for executives.
- Proven organizational and project management skills; comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
- Experience in CRM and reporting systems; Salesforce familiarity a plus.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Strong sense of ownership, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently.

Salary will be based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
