Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Inventory Cost Accountant located in Baltimore, MD. The Inventory Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reconciling company inventory and manufacturing costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation of inventory. This role ensures the integrity of inventory data within the ERP system, conducts variance analysis, manages month-end close procedures for inventory, and collaborates with warehouse and production teams to optimize inventory controls and cost efficiency. Additionally, this role will assist the Controller with various month end accounting tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- An associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Accounting principles/practices
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to details and trends
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong organizational skills and capable of meeting set deadlines
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
