Qualifications:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a safe and clean working environment while providing optimum quality. Reviews production schedule/reports of the department and ensures objectives are ascertained. Communicates quality, material and other department issues to managers/supervision by performing the following duties.
- Ensures all shop machinery and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Evaluates, monitors and maintains stores and tooling so the optimum production performance is achieved.
- Maintains proper documentation of all parts/tooling.
- Assists in changeovers and setups on the production line as needed.
- Maintains tooling in a state of quality/readiness for upcoming changeovers.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on tooling and shop machinery.
- Identifies and promptly reports equipment malfunction, material, and safety and quality issues to supervisor.
- Complies with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Performs special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.
