Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Run various slitting equipment including but not limited to:
- slitter machine
- rewind tables for product inspection
- This person will also do some offline inspections in the packing area.
- Duties also include catching and packing off press/inspection part of this.
- Inspect labels for defects while running a slitter, in the packing area, or at press
- Perform all required quality checks
- Use QAD to issue/receive product to work orders and print core/box labels
- Package labels for shipment. Including all necessary labels on boxes & cores.
- Complete required paperwork
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as requested. Follow supervisor’s instructions
- Pack for other F&P operators whenever waiting for WIP
- Keep work area 5S
- Learn/understand and follow CCL Environmental & Quality Policies
- Learn and practice all CCL SWI & WI that pertain to F&P
Skills/Abilities:
- Prior production/manufacturing experience preferred
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to process product within quality and productivity standards
- Must be able to read and understand all associated paperwork and tools
- Slitting experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and computer skills
- Able to work in a team environment
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing/sitting at a machine.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
