What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Charge Bookkeeper position at CCI Management LLC?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all financial records for our Property Management company based in the Dobbs Ferry, NY area.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of proven, independent Full Charge Bookkeeping experience. Crucially, we are looking for someone with a strong background in the Construction Industry who understands New York state and local compliance requirements, including prevailing wage and job costing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Financial & Compliance Management:
Manage the complete accounting cycle from journal entries and data entry through to the preparation of accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Manage and reconcile all bank accounts, credit cards, and the General Ledger.
Process all Accounts Payable (vendor invoices, coding) and Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, collections).
Construction & Local NY Focus:
Job Costing: Accurately track expenses against individual projects to monitor profitability and variances.
Subcontractor Compliance: Collect, track, and manage necessary documentation, including W-9s, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and NYS Workers' Compensation certificates.
Process and manage documentation related to lien waivers and project payment applications.
Assist with year-end 1099 filing and provide required documentation to external CPAs for tax preparation.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
Expert-level proficiency with QuickBooks Online is mandatory.
Prior experience in the Construction, Trade, or Real Estate Development industry is strongly preferred.
Solid knowledge of GAAP and the ability to produce reliable financial statements.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a professional, independent work ethic.
Knowledge of local Yonkers/Westchester/NYC-area business practices and compliance is a plus.
