Job Summary
CCI Construction, Inc. is a commercial general contractor in NJ/NY. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day operations. This role combines administrative coordination with basic accounting responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, managing multiple priorities, and working with numbers. The position is part-time initially, with the potential opportunity to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties:
- Handle email correspondence and phone inquiries professionally
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with document preparation, data entry, and general office tasks
- Support team members with ad hoc administrative needs
Bookkeeping Duties:
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with invoicing and billing
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in administrative support and/or bookkeeping
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in a construction setting – basic knowledge of subcontractors, insurance requirements, AIA format invoices, and contracts
- Familiarity with payroll (ADP) and 401k processing
