URGENT HIRING – IT Contracting / Procurement Officer

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced IT Contracting/Procurement Officer with at least 5 years of specialized experience in IT procurement and public-sector contracting. This role is essential in managing complex IT procurements, negotiating vendor contracts, and ensuring strict compliance with state and federal procurement laws, policies, and best practices.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in IT procurement, contract negotiation, or public-sector contracting
- Strong working knowledge of multiple IT contract types (SaaS, IaaS, perpetual licenses, hardware/software agreements, maintenance & support, etc.)
- Familiarity with state or federal procurement regulations and processes
- Experience using State of Iowa procurement systems (Workday, I/3, or similar tools)
- Professional procurement certifications: NIGP-CPP, CPPB, CPPO, or NCMA CPCM
- Experience working in a centralized procurement environment
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy requirements as they relate to IT contracts
