Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas such as production floors, warehouses, offices, and restrooms.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes by following proper chemical handling procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of respiratory protection and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or equipment while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, supply inventories, and safety inspections for accountability and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or food production settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to manufacturing or food processing environments is a plus.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining strict adherence to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards, GMP requirements, and food safety protocols.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
