Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and techniques including buffing and floor care equipment.
• Conduct custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of industrial or commercial spaces by performing specialized cleaning procedures tailored to each environment.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently, including floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities.
• Support porter duties by moving supplies, setting up for events or meetings, and ensuring all areas are organized and presentable.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
