Retail Banking Manager - Orem

Summary

Accordia Bank is seeking an experienced Retail Banking Manager to drive deposit growth, expand client relationships, and lead branch performance through proactive business development and exceptional customer service. This role combines relationship management, sales leadership, branch oversight, and team development to support the Bank's growth objectives while maintaining strong compliance and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong network of referral sources, community partners, and centers of influence to generate new business opportunities.

• Proactively prospect and engage with consumers and businesses to grow deposits, treasury management relationships, and lending opportunities.

• Cross-sell and deepen client relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate banking products and services.

• Serve as the primary relationship officer for deposit accounts and treasury management solutions.

• Build trust and strengthen customer relationships through responsive service, problem resolution, and consistent follow-through.

• Manage a deposit portfolio with a focus on profitability, growth, operational efficiency, and risk management.

• Resolve complex customer concerns and escalated service issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Assist with new account opening and account maintenance activities as needed while ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer and business deposit products, treasury management services, and lending solutions.

• Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

• Support branch operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop branch employees to support performance, engagement, and career growth.

• Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee development activities.

• Foster a positive, customer-focused culture that promotes teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.

• Monitor branch compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Partner with branch leadership to prepare for internal and external audits and address audit findings.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, community organizations, and business partners.

• Collaborate with the Bank's Security Officer to support branch security, fraud prevention, cash handling controls, and workplace safety.

• Oversee branch facilities management, including maintenance coordination and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

• Experience in retail banking, relationship management, business development, branch operations, or a related banking leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in deposit growth, customer relationship development, and business generation.

• Strong knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services.

• Leadership experience with employee coaching, training, mentoring, and performance management.

• Exceptional customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Ability to build partnerships both inside and outside the organization.

• Understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and operational controls.

• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous branch management or assistant branch management experience.

• Experience with treasury management products and commercial banking relationships.

• Strong community involvement and business networking experience.

• Knowledge of audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and branch risk management.
