What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extension Swine Program Manager position at cc5?
The position will be required to provide leadership to Cooperative Extension program efforts, coordinating and managing the alternative swine unit. Non-credit instruction primarily through Extension would be required. For example, educational events such as workshops, farmer training's, farm tours and field days would be regularly scheduled and the person in the position would be required to provide information and education during those events. Instructors from Faber College and other Universities or Community Colleges would be welcome to coordinate with the Extension Swine Program Manager to hold course laboratories or lectures at the Unit., The position would provide support for applied research projects within the confines of routine management of the Unit, including being included in discussions about research grants being proposed and the resources/labor that may be needed in the grant to help support the Unit. Record keeping of daily operations will be an important responsibility., The Extension Swine Program Manager would be responsible for directing programmatic efforts in the area of sustainable swine production at the site with research station supervisors and staff as well as with University faculty/staff.
