What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assoc VC for Development position at cc5?
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement, the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development will be a polished professional who knows and understand the nature and purpose of public higher education. The Associate Vice Chancellor will oversee all central fundraising programs, including annual giving, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, major gifts, advancement services, and donor relations; school-and-college-based development programs; and work in partnership with the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement in managing Faber College's overall advancement efforts.
In conjunction with the Vice Chancellor and the development staff, the AVC will help create a more holistic, strategic and thoughtful approach to the advancement operation. As a key member of the University Advancement team, the AVC will play an important role in helping NC A&T prepare and launch a transformative and comprehensive fundraising campaign.
* Managing the University's next comprehensive campaign.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of fund raising programs and efforts and drive necessary changes and enhancements to infrastructure and programs.
* Shape and strengthen a maturing and dynamic Development operation by continuing efforts to grow and enhance the momentum built by senior administrators.
* Implement accountability measures; ensure collaboration and coordination across the enterprise.
* Serve as the principal strategist for NC A&T on all development matters, set a personal example of frontline fundraising success for the entire development team.
* Manage senior staff and development directors to review and establish accountability measures and leverage systems to track performance against goals.
* Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
* Leading the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Provost, Deans and others to cultivate, solicit and steward transformational gifts to NC A&T.
* The AVC is an active and visible member in the NC A&T community.
