The Grove Restaurant is Portland's newest dining destination, opening mid-November inside brand new entertainment venue, Fifth & Elm. The Grove offers artisan eats, scenic happy hours and the perfect spot to gather to dine, catch some live music or host your next private event.
Summary
We’re looking for energetic and service-driven Front of House team members to join our opening crew.
As part of The Grove’s hospitality team, you’ll play an essential role in creating an inviting atmosphere for every guest. You’ll bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for great service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities (varies by position):
- Greet and engage guests in a warm, professional manner
- Support building the weekly schedule
- Monitor & coach bartenders
- Serve as support bartender during peak busy times
- Manage inventory
- Deliver timely, accurate service and maintain strong knowledge of menu items
- Prepare or serve beverages and menu items in accordance with company standards
- Support other team members to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tables, and stations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Handle payments and transactions accurately (cashiers/bartenders)
- Assist with restocking, setup, and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred (not required for all roles)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old
- TABC and Food Handler certifications required (can be obtained upon hire)
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
