Role Summary
CBTS is currently seeking an experienced L4 Wireless and Network Engineer to support and lead enterprise-class network and wireless initiatives for a large enterprise environment. This senior-level role requires deep technical expertise in Cisco networking, Meraki, Cisco ISE, and SD-WAN, along with the ability to design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize complex network environments. The ideal candidate will act as a technical escalation point, provide architectural guidance, and partner closely with client stakeholders, security teams, and operational teams.

Duties
Network & Wireless Engineering
- Design, implement, and support enterprise-grade wired and wireless network solutions using Cisco and Meraki platforms
- Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cisco Meraki WLAN, switching, and security appliances
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network and wireless issues
- Serve as Tier 4 (L4) escalation for incidents impacting network performance, availability, or security
Identity, Security & SD-WAN
- Architect, configure, and support Cisco ISE for network access control, authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement (802.1X, MAB, guest access)
- Implement and manage SD-WAN solutions (Cisco/Viptela or Meraki SD-WAN), including policy design, traffic steering, and WAN optimization
- Partner with security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security, compliance, and zero-trust initiatives
Design & Strategy
- Create and maintain network architecture designs, diagrams, standards, and technical documentation
- Evaluate network performance and recommend improvements for scalability, resiliency, and cost optimization
- Lead or contribute to network modernization initiatives, including cloud connectivity and branch transformation
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a technical lead and mentor for L2/L3 engineers
- Interface directly with enterprise clients, vendors, and stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions
- Support change management, maintenance windows, and post-implementation reviews
- Participate in incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with senior-level responsibility
- Strong hands-on experience with:
Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR)
Cisco Meraki (Wireless, Switches, MX Security, Dashboard management)
Cisco ISE (Policy creation, NAC, certificate-based authentication)
SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela and/or Meraki SD-WAN)
- In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals:
- TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, QoS
- Wireless concepts (RF design, site surveys, roaming, security)
- Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve issues under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Wireless, CCIE
- Experience with cloud networking integrations (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Knowledge of network automation or scripting (Python)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise change management
