OVERVIEW:
CBN Geneva LLC is a local Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) looking to hire We’re looking for a dependable and tech-savvy Technical Service Representative to join our growing team. This hybrid role includes both in-office support and fieldwork, helping customers with sales, billing, technical issues, and onsite service installations. We service the City of Geneva as well as all of the surrounding communities.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer messages regarding tech support, billing, and service inquiries.
- Provide assistance with internet, TV, and phone service setup and troubleshooting.
- Open and resolve service tickets, following through to completion.
- Set up new customer accounts and onboard equipment (routers, modems, VoIP phones, etc.).
- Ensure accurate billing through service audits and account verification.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and account changes.
- Coordinate with field technicians to manage daily schedules.
- Assist in the installation of wireless broadband equipment based on customer needs and site layout.
- Educate customers on features, usage, and troubleshooting of their services.
- Perform hands-on work in varied environments.
- Operate tools and equipment safely.
- Inspect cable and electrical components to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Representing the company professionally, maintaining a positive attitude, a clean work area, and respectful interactions at all times
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
- Previous experience in customer service and/or field installation preferred.
- Comfortable using computers, network equipment, and hand/power tools.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to work in various physical environments and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Willingness to travel as need. Flexible to work shifts that might include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
