Commissary Operations Manager

Job Overview:

To oversee operations of and supervise the assigned facilities' Commissary Fulfillment and Distribution teams by contract specifications and under the guidance of the Director of Commissary Operations.

Duties:

• Actively supervise & assist the Commissary Fulfillment and Distribution teams
• Monitor and maintain product inventory levels with efficient weekly ordering
• Source products and manage the product mix while reducing product costs.
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with the client, commissary partners, and the Director of Commissary Operations, ensuring effective and efficient communication and operations.
• Implement and support all Company standards and initiatives.
• Demonstrate an understanding of CBM Premier Management and Summit Food Service missions and goals.
• Manage full delivery cycle of commissary with Distribution team (visit divisions to ensure proper delivery protocols and assist with any issues that arise).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ management experience (Correctional setting is a plus)
• Highschool Diploma required, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
• Proficiency in Office 365, especially Microsoft Excel, required
• Familiarity with inventory management
• Strong administrative skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams of more than 40 people
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to remain standing for most of working hours.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• May be exposed to hot, humid work areas.
• May be exposed to sharp instruments and power-driven equipment.
• May be exposed to caustic chemicals.
• Must be comfortable working in a correctional facility environment and with inmates.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check, as company operates on the grounds of the Cook County Sheriff's Office (Cook County Jail)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
