What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheet metal technician (Structures technician) position at CBL legal talent?
As a Structures Technician, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.
· Perform thorough inspection of aircraft structures, identifying and documenting any signs of damage or wear.
· Comply with environmental health, safety policies, and procedures.
· Execute sheet metal repairs and modifications on various structural components, including but not limited to the wing, fuselage, and tail sections.
· Fabricate and/or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts.
· Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached.
· Perform mechanical, electrical removals and installations as required.
· Interpret and follow aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
· Assist with complex structural repairs on/off aircraft.
· Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate repairs and compliance with aviation regulations.
· Inspect confined areas of airframe.
· Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to aviation structural maintenance.
Here’s what is required to succeed as a Structures Technician.
· Minimum of 1 year of structural sheet metal repair and modification experience or sustained similar experience.
o Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience preferred.
o CRJ airframe experience a plus.
o MRO experience a plus.
o Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) a plus.
o 3 years of experience preferred.
· Completed Sheetmetal A/C Tech school or equivalent schooling is preferred.
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License is preferred.
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
· Knowledge of aircraft structures and materials.
· Able to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
· Possess (basic) set of tools.
· Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions both verbally and in writing.
· Must be comfortable with shift work; we are a 24/7 operation with 12-hour shifts which include days, nights, and weekends.
· Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system.
· Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
