Job description:BASIC FUNCTION: Perform all types of bonds maintenance on aircraft components including metal to metal, metal to composite and composite to composite consisting of prepreg and wet layup of various fiberglass, graphite and Kevlar materials as well as disassembly and assembly of components to be repaired. Perform high quality and high productivity repairs while upholding integrity at the highest levels to assure customer satisfaction.RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:NOTE: Some descriptions may have more specific duties and/or goals and objectives attached to this form. Such attachments normally reflect unique aspects of specific locations, shifts, departments, etc.Ability to read and understand technical data such as CMM, SRM, IPC, and Engineering orders needed to complete tasks in accordance with FAA, customer, or company requirementsRemove damage, layup and bond various composite materials using both pre-impregnated material and Wet Layup practices without causing additional damage to underlying structuresRemove damage, prepare surfaces, layup and bond various metal to metal components using the Autoclave and Hot Bond methodsFabricate temporary or permanent tooling needed to complete bonds, maintain contours or alignment of piece partsAssemble repaired components and sub-assembliesAssure product quality including first article inspectionAs directed, assist any employee in any job classification in the performance of their duties to maintain TEAM productivity.POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: NOTE: These requirements represent minimum levels in order to perform the job on a satisfactory basis. Candidates must have the ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.Aviation composite/ metal bond repair on aircraft or components/ sub assembliesAviation mechanical experience, either fixed wing or rotorcraft experience, desired.Ability to read and interpret blue prints, engineering drawing and technical publications required.Familiarity with various pieces of ground support, test equipment, shop tooling desired.The ability to understand and follow instructions needed to maintain productivity.Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.Regular attendance at the worksite.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:This job requires a minimum of high school education or general education degree (GED) and 3 to 5 years work-related experience
