Manufacturing Senior Accountant

Our client is a small but growing manufacturing company who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team.

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company. This position requires a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional who can oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting and be able to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Manage and coordinate the annual budget process.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and provide corrective actions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Conduct audits and improve processes to enhance efficiency and financial control.
• Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
