Accountant (tax and audit background)

CBIZ Talent Solutions is working with our Northern Nassau County family CPA firm client seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing team onsite. The ideal candidate will have experience in audit and tax. This role requires excellent technical skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform audits, compilations, and reviews for a diverse client portfolio.
• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Apply expert technical skills and problem-solving abilities to daily responsibilities.
• Provide support and insight of accounting issues as needed.
• Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines with a flexible and positive approach.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of prior experience within audit and tax required.
• Good working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and pronouncements.
• Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant accounting software (ProSystem, Audit Engagement Software).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Real estate industry experience is highly desirable but not required.

Compensation range is between $100-$130K annually plus excellent benefits.
