CB2's Marketing Manager, Brand Communications and Community Impact is an entrepreneurial go-getter, a skilled multi-tasker, and an aspiring brand leader. This leader will be responsible for leading cross functional teams, and driving innovative brand strategies into the marketplace focused on PR, communications, community impact and new market openings.
- Act as a steward of the brand.
- Articulate and support our vision to achieve overall business goals and help maintain consistency in all communications channels and touchpoints.
- Lead development, execution and analysis of annual strategic plans to generate awareness of CB2 including roadmap, segment strategies and key initiatives to support the company’s aggressive growth agenda.
- Manage PR agencies and create innovative publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the brand and leadership.
- Maximize opportunities for publicity in all media through careful research and targeted editorial pitch plans in partnership with PR agencies.
- Generate local awareness in key markets through CB2 participation in significant community and social events.
- Manage all B2C and B2B public relations efforts for the company, including but not limited to communication plans, Q&As, press releases, presentations, product requests, virtual and in-person events and trade engagements for interior design.
- Lead creation of media communications and press releases pertaining to all areas of the business. Maintain relationships with key media outlets.
- Support leadership-level presentations - speaking engagements.
- Maintain a high level of expertise about retail markets.
- Oversee maintenance of all business messaging, company fact sheets, bios and other corporate materials.
- Lead monthly data analysis and reporting, being able to tell a concise narrative from complex data.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop robust store pre-opening plans and execute all marketing strategies to successfully open stores, accelerating store traffic and sales growth in new markets.
- Lead community impact strategy and plan including charitable efforts and key diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Lead, negotiate and manage all vendor and agency contracts, budgets and timelines.
- Conceptualize big ideas and translate these into actionable plans, building consensus and leading partners across all levels across the organization to achieve flawless execution.
- Collaborate effectively with core operational areas, including marketing, ecommerce, finance, legal, store operations, merchants and executive team.
- Minimum of 7 years of PR experience or corporate communications, community engagement and event management
- Bachelor's Degree required; Masters Degree a plus
- Excellent experience in managing successful business public relations for a leading brand and/or Fortune 500 company
- Strong background in media relations and experience working with the pressStrong experience coaching executives on media
- Experience in concepting ideas and translate to into action plans
- Experienced in making sound decisions without a lot of direction, facing tight deadlines
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for retail
- Proficient writer, editor and proofing
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
