CB Indy Inc is hiring a Retail Sales Associate in Indianapolis to join our team. This Retail Sales Associate role is focused on building awareness for organizations through direct outreach, retail settings and public engagement. The Retail Sales Associate will work directly with customers to introduce humanitarian programs, explain what different organizations are working to accomplish, and create a positive first point of contact.
As a Retail Sales Associate, you’ll spend your day interacting with people from different backgrounds, learning about the organizations we work with, and communicating their work and missions. Our Retail Sales Associates will answer questions, learn about customer interests, and help people who want to get more involved understand the next steps available to them. This Retail Sales Associate position is centered around communication, relationship-building, and creating genuine awareness around nonprofit work.
Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers in a retail setting, organized events, and designated outreach spaces.
- Introduce nonprofit and humanitarian organizations through direct community engagement and communication
- Explain missions, initiatives, and organizational goals to members of the community
- Start conversations with the public and create welcoming, professional interactions
- Keep work setting organized, clean and welcoming to customers
- Assist individuals who express interest in learning more or getting involved
- Follow all communication and store or event procedures
Retail Sales Associate Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, sales, outreach, hospitality, barista, fitness, public speaking, customer service, or other people-focused roles
- Professional and personable communication style
- Motivated by goals and able to contribute in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new information
- Organized, dependable, and able to maintain accurate information
- Competitive nature is a plus

Pay: $850.00 - $1,400.00 per week
