Cavins Group is an Emergency Response Environmental Specialist firm providing disaster response services for Water, Fire, Mold, Crime Scene, Biohazard, Hazmat, and Asbestos issues throughout Oklahoma, & Kansas. Job Summary
The Remediation Restoration Apprentice/Helper provides essential support to the Journeyman Technicians and Supervisors on various disaster response and environmental remediation projects, primarily focusing on mold remediation and structural drying. This is an entry-level position that offers an opportunity to learn the trade and advance within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians and supervisors in the execution of mold remediation and water extraction/structural drying services.
- Help with the setup and teardown of containment areas and engineering controls on job sites.
- Aid in the removal, cleaning, and proper disposal of contaminated materials, adhering to all project protocols.
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as HEPA Vacs and Air Flow Management/Air Filtration/Air Scrubber/AFD's.
- Provide general labor support on job sites, including moving materials and ensuring the site remains clean and organized.
- Learn and adhere to established protocols for all remediation and restoration work, including testing procedures.
- Assist with the handling and application of materials like encapsulants.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and actively participate in physical labor required for restoration and remediation work.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and project protocols.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including after-hours and potential emergency response calls, as the work is time and material based.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE
- The willingness to work up to 60 to 70 hours a week.
- The willingness to be on call to respond to a disaster on a Saturday or even after hours at 2 AM.
- The willingness to travel as needed.
