Overview
The Part-Time Contract Recruiter supports the Talent team by managing full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles over a 4–6 month contract period. This role ensures a smooth, timely, and professional candidate experience while partnering closely with hiring managers across the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling multi-role recruiting in a fast-paced environment. This position offers flexible hours based on business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support the Cavender’s Culture and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values.
· Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating next steps.
· Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and recruiting timelines.
· Post and maintain job openings on internal and external job boards.
· Source talent through various channels, including job boards, professional networks, social media, and outreach efforts.
· Conduct phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and alignment with company culture.
· Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and interview panels.
· Maintain accurate and timely candidate notes and updates within the applicant tracking system.
· Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the process to ensure a positive experience.
· Represent the company and the brand in a stellar manner.
· Assist with offer preparation and pre-employment steps as needed.
· Support recruiting-related projects, hiring events, and seasonal volume needs.
· Perform other recruiting duties as assigned by the Talent Management team.
Qualifications and Requirements
· 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
· Experience managing full cycle recruiting processes.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to manage multiple open roles and competing priorities.
· Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information.
· Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals.
Preferred Skills
· Experience recruiting for retail, corporate, or operational roles.
· Strong sourcing skills and familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or similar tools.
· Comfortable interviewing candidates at various levels.
· Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Adaptable and solutions-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
· This role can be remote, but may require some meetings and interaction in the HR Office in Tyler, TX.
