Catering Sales Manager:

The Catering Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Catering Sales and is responsible for working in partnership with their General Managers and Area Leaders to drive catering sales. The CSM is responsible for sourcing leads, developing and maintaining client relationships, and securing catering sales for their assigned markets.

What You’ll Do:

·       Define sales strategy and develop tactical plans to achieve sales targets

·       Source leads and cultivate prospect customer relationships through targeted outreach, tastings and events, local field marketing, etc.

·       Connect with existing customers to cultivate relationships, grow sales frequency,

·       Manage and cultivate existing customer relationships to grow sales frequency and drive incremental revenue

·       Partner with cross-functional team to support customer service and catering order management

·       Conduct market research to understand industry trends, client needs and competitive landscape in the catering industry

·       Collaborate cross-functionally (Operations, Marketing, etc.) to align sales efforts with overall company goals

·       Execute effective decision-making skills, maintain emotional stability in stressful situations

·       Lead by example to mentor, motivate, and develop CAVA’s Catering Sales teamOversee innovative solutions proposed by direct reports

·       Maintain emotional stability in stressful situations; lead by example for how our team should handle adversity

·       Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset

·       Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly

·       Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values

·       Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day

·       Actively contribute to your department in order to complete tasks and meet company goals

·       Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business

The Qualifications:  

·       Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in catering and/or restaurant environment required

·       Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, or other relevant field preferred

·       Track record of consistently reaching or exceeding sales goals

·       Strong cold calling and sales presentation skills, and ability to turn leads into sale. 

·       Professional presence, ability to adapt message and approach to the audience, and ability to relate to a wide variety of people and tailor communication accordingly.

·       Experience with CRM software, online ordering systems, and consumer loyalty programs required

·       Highly developed critical thinking skills 

·       High attention to detail; strong organizational skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills 

·       Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills

·       Ability to work effectively with high degree of autonomy

·       Excellent time management skills

·       Highly motivated to success with passion and a sense of urgency

·       Ability to travel approximately 30% required

Physical Requirements:

·       Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment

·       Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details

·       For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds

·       Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively

·       Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable

·       Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

  • All exempt and non exempt employees are eligible for benefits. Benefits are effective the 1st of the month following 30 days of service and you have until the day before the effective date to enroll.
