What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground pipe foreman position at Caufield Equipment?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule work activities with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulations
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Review construction estimates, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Provide guidance and supervision to construction workers on-site
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, estimating, schematics, quality control, and blueprint reading
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
