Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform plumbing and mechanical work related to HVAC system components, ensuring proper operation and safety standards are met.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for routine maintenance or urgent repairs, providing expert appliance repair and property maintenance support.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications.
- Inspect ammonia refrigeration systems and handle refrigerant recovery or recharging with safety compliance.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs using industry-standard procedures.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely to reach job sites efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) fields with a strong mechanical background.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC system installation or upgrades.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design principles to troubleshoot effectively.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, refrigeration cycles including ammonia refrigeration, and boiler operations is highly desirable.
- Skilled in equipment repair using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding experience is a plus.
- Previous field service experience working on air conditioning units, property maintenance tasks, or appliance repairs preferred.
