We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to help maintain and evolve our Quality Management System (QMS), in accordance with Cattron’s ISO9001 accreditation. In this role, you will move beyond the workbench to ensure our processes meet international standards and internal excellence. You will be a key driver in auditing, document control, and systemic root cause analysis to ensure Cattron remains a benchmark for quality in the electronics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Internal Auditing: Lead and execute internal audits across various departments; to ensure processes and procedures are accurately followed and updated accordingly.
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA): Facilitate the CAPA process, guiding cross-functional teams through formal root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone) to accurately determine true root causes and yearn for robust corrective and preventative actions, with follow-ups to determine effectiveness of actions.
  • Document Control: Manage the lifecycle of quality documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and quality manuals, ensuring all versions are controlled and accessible.
  • Supplier Quality & MRB: Aid in Material Review Boards (MRB) for the disposition of nonconforming materials and coordinate with suppliers on quality performance and improvements.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Compile and analyze key quality metrics (DPPM, COPQ, FPY) to provide actionable insights for the management review team.
  • Incoming inspections: Execute incoming inspections with attention to detail, reporting any nonconformances.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support data-driven initiatives to streamline QMS processes and reduce waste throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • External Audit Support: Serve as a primary point of contact and facilitator during third-party registrar audits and customer quality assessments.

Requirements

  • Auditing Experience: Proven experience performing internal or lead audits within a regulated environment (ISO 9001 experience is highly preferred).
  • Problem Solving: Proficiency in structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
  • Analytical Skillset: Strong ability to interpret quality data and translate it into formal reports and process improvements.
  • QMS Literacy: Deep understanding of document control principles and the structure of international quality standards.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; must be able to draft formal procedures and present audit findings to leadership.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP/QMS software systems is a plus.
  • Electronics: Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Supplier Compliance: Experience with material compliance certifications (REACH, RoHS, Prop65, TSCA, PFAS) is a plus, but not required.

Education/Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a QA role, demonstrating the above competencies.
