What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher/Food Prep position at Cattleman's Club Steakhouse?
Join our family-owned steakhouse as a Dishwasher / Prep Station Team Member. This role rotates between the dishwashing station and the prep station depending on nightly needs. You’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace and preparing fresh components for our menu.
Key Responsibilities
- Dishwashing: Clean, sanitize, and organize all plates, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools promptly and safely. Maintain dish area and waste disposal to health-code standards.
- Prep Station: Prepare salads to order, wash, chop, and portion vegetables, and mix dressings and simple sauces as directed. Ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Support: Assist cooks and front-of-house staff as needed during service; restock supplies and rotate inventory; follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Teamwork: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, follow instructions, and maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work varied shifts (nights and days).
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in fast-paced conditions.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food handling; prior dish or prep experience a plus.
