Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily retail operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team toward achieving sales and operational goals. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and developing team members through effective coaching and mentorship.
- Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, merchandising, stocking, and POS transactions to ensure smooth workflow.
- Manage sales activities by implementing marketing strategies, setting sales targets, and analyzing sales data to optimize revenue.
- Handle customer service issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels and address complaints professionally.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and participate in interviewing prospective hires to build a competent team.
- Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and cash handling procedures accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or overstocking; oversee purchasing decisions and pricing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote store products and services effectively.
- Utilize organizational skills to manage shift schedules, organize stock displays, and ensure the store maintains a clean and welcoming environment.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store settings with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong background in retail sales management, inventory control, POS systems, merchandising, and cash handling.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Familiarity with retail math including budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across diverse roles.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Prior experience with supervisory responsibilities such as assistant manager roles or shift management is preferred.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and wireless sales is advantageous.
