Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the store team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective management, coaching, and training.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize product availability and minimize loss.
- Manage all aspects of store operations such as cash handling, cashiering, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Supervise shift management, scheduling, and task delegation to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Implement marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.
- Handle payroll processing, budgeting, pricing strategies, and administrative tasks with attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and store policies while fostering a positive work environment through effective communication skills.
- Utilize management tools for sales management, retail math calculations, merchandising, stocking, and inventory management to support operational goals.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong background in retail sales, team management, and customer service excellence.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as pricing strategies and sales analysis is preferred.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in grocery stores or similar retail sectors is advantageous.
