Job Description
DRILLER APPRENTICE (IMMEDIATE OPENING in Wilmington and Roanoke Rapids, NC)
CATLIN is seeking an entry level person to assist with our drilling operations in North and South Carolina. This position involves physical labor working directly with a Wilmington or Roanoke Rapids NC based drill crew performing environmental and geotechnical exploratory drilling.
Work will include helping driller with boring and monitoring well installation and collecting soil and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis.
Must be self-motivated, hardworking, work well in a team environment, able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., work in all weather conditions, and able to travel approximately 90% of the time out of town. Overnight travel is routinely required.
Ideal candidate would want to pursue a career in the drilling industry.

Required Qualifications
- Able to legally work in the United States.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for travel.
- Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Candidate must be able to obtain DOD security clearance which includes thorough background checks.
- NC CDL Class A or ability to obtain a plus
