You’re someone who understands content, not just how to create it, but how to make it feel intentional, creative, engaging, elevated, and aligned with an established brand.
You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats, from recording and editing to planning and posting.
This role requires both creative instinct and execution.
The Role
Podcast Production (Monthly):
Cathy Hobbs Design Recipes is an award-winning home staging and design firm led by 5-time Emmy Award-winning television host, author, and HGTV Design Star finalist, Cathy Hobbs.
We work with top real estate agents and luxury properties throughout Manhattan and beyond, offering design-forward staging supported by an in-house team and expansive inventory.
Our headquarters, Highland Passive House, is the first multi-use Passive House Certified warehouse in North America, serving as our design center and creative hub for the Hudson Valley and beyond.

The Role
Podcast Production (Monthly):
- Coordinate, plan, and execute monthly podcast batched recordings using Descript.
- Handle recording setup, audio/video capture, and production.
- Edit episodes for clarity, pacing, and overall quality.
- Edit social media teasers, trailers and clips.
- Prepare basic run-of-show outlines and assist with content flow.
- Ensure each episode is delivered, polished, and ready for distribution.
- Plan weekly content across platforms (Instagram, etc.).
- Shoot and capture content (on-site, behind the scenes, installs, lifestyle).
- Edit short-form video content (Reels, clips, promotional pieces).
- Write captions aligned with our brand voice.
- Schedule and post content consistently.
- Oversee execution from idea → content → posting.
- Have experience with video editing and content creation (required).
- Are comfortable learning and using platforms like Descript, Wave.io and CANVA.
- Understand social media trends, but know how to keep content elevated and on-brand.
- Are highly organized and can manage timelines and content calendars, using platforms such as PLANABLE.
- Are a strong communicator and self-starter.
- Can work independently but also collaborate with a creative team.
- Are NYC area based and able to travel to our Hudson Valley 1–2 times per month (as needed) -- Required for consideration.
- Have experience with podcast production or audio editing.
- Have a background in design, styling, or real estate.
- Have shot content in lifestyle, interiors, or hospitality environments.

Salary : $20 - $22
