Background
Bishop Miege High School, a distinguished Catholic college preparatory school in Johnson County, Kansas, is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as its next President. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the President will be responsible for shaping the school's future, upholding its core mission and values, and ensuring its continued excellence in academics, spiritual development, and community engagement. Bishop Miege serves a diverse student body across grades 9-12, with a committed faculty and staff dedicated to fostering a Christ centered environment. The school is sponsored by 18 Johnson County, Kansas parishes and maintains a governance structure led by a Board of Trustees.
The President of Bishop Miege High School articulates and models the mission and vision of the school and assumes total responsibility for its external and internal operation. As the Chief Executive Officer, the individual is accountable to the Superintendent of Schools, the Bishop Miege Board of Directors, as well as the Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas. The President serves as the primary spiritual leader of the school and communicates and promotes Catholic values in all aspects and functions of the position.
The President is responsible for creating and promoting a strategic vision for the institution, seeking sufficient financial resources for the school, and maintaining sound fiscal management of all business operations. Comprehensive attention is afforded to development efforts with current families, alumni, friends of the school, and community and corporate partners.
In collaboration with the Principal, who has primary responsibility for the daily operation of the school, the President ensures, through proper delegation and oversight, that all academic, spiritual, social, extracurricular activities, recruitment and promotion efforts, fundraising, and other internal operations are successfully achieved with particular focus on a safe environment where students, faculty and staff may teach, learn and grow. The President promotes the overall reputation and values of the school, serving as the primary liaison between the school, the Board, and the Archdiocese. The President serves as an ex-officio member of the school board, any and all school councils, sub committees, clubs, and/or committees.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide spiritual and operational leadership rooted in Catholic faith and values.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic plans in partnership with the Board of
Trustees and the Superintendent of Schools.
• Spearhead fundraising, advancement, alumni relations, student recruitment and
marketing initiatives to ensure financial stability and growth.
• Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource
allocation.
• Supervise non-academic operations such as facilities, technology, and human
resources.
• Collaborate closely with the Principal to promote academic excellence and student
success.
• Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and safe school culture.
• Represent the school at community, diocesan, and regional levels, strengthening its
reputation and influence.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in Catholic education,
