Our Surgical Technologists will:

• Work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in delivering safe and effective care to patients in the intraoperative period.  
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Have knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipate the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies.
• Check that instrumentation and equipment are in working order.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout set up and surgical intervention.
• Maintain and advocate for patient safety.
• Perform other tasks as assigned (checking outdates, stocking, rooms, picking cases, etc.).  
• Perform counts according to hospital policy and initiate appropriate procedure for incorrect counts.
• Correctly handle and identify surgical specimens.
• Safely dispose of biohazardous material.
• Actively participate in room turnover between cases.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Perioperative Services
• 1-2 Years of Operating Room (OR) experience preferred
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the Association of Surgical Technologists required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
