Administrative Support Associate - Operating Room - PD

The Administrative Support Associate, under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager, coordinates and performs those duties necessary to manage and organize the nursing unit including reception and secretarial duties as well as accountability for accurate communication among the health care team. The Administrative Support Associate is responsible for maintaining regulatory standards involving the medical record. The Administrative Support Associate will also perform other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager. The Administrative Support Associate is responsible for those competencies needed to perform duties in a specific clinical (patient care) setting.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and demonstrated ability to prioritize work.
• Competence in computer/order entry.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Able to perform detailed assignments and record keeping.
• Able to communicate with patients/hospital staff/visitors.
• Previous Administrative Support Associate experience preferred.
