Summary:

Shares as a team member under the leadership and in collaboration with the Manager, Invasive Interventional Services which consists of: cardiac catheterization lab, neuro endovascular procedures electrophysiology Interventional peripheral/radiology procedures and structural heart procedures, mercy interventional unit(pre and post recovery and overnight patients), the accountability for the 24 hour management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance and regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within selected area of responsibility and the health care institution as a whole.

Responsibilities:

Educational Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing required, or must be actively enrolled in BSN program with completion within 3 years of assignment
• Current RN licensure in the State of New York
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification or completion of course within six (6) months of assignment
• Nationally recognized Nursing Certification obtainment within two years required

Experience Requirements

• Two (2) years of critical care nursing experience preferred

Or

• Previous experience in Cardiac Catherization Lab, interventional radiology and/or neurology, electrophysiology.

Or

• Charge nurse, managerial, or supervisory experience with 2 years cardiac telemetry/ stepdown unit experience.
