Summary:
The Perioperative Services scheduling secretary is a member of the Perioperative Team whose primary responsibility is scheduling surgical procedures and data entry of required information. The position is responsible for identifying required personnel, supplies, equipment and support needed for work procedure and communication of findings. The scheduling secretary works with physicians, their offices and other departments in a user-friendly manner in order to prepare an efficient Operating Room schedule.

Responsibilities:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate
- Two (2) years related Operating Room scheduling experience (within the last six (6) months) with two (2) years medical terminology required in scheduling medical/surgical procedures
- Recent computer experience required including MS Office
- Billing experience required
- Scheduling- Proficient with scheduling product required
- Experience in data entry in excel spreadsheets required
