Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives.
Overview of the Position:
This position is responsible for performing procedures using diagnostic imaging equipment designed for radiographic imaging, providing health care services as needed, and producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce high-quality images.
- Providing patient care and recognizing essential critical thinking skills needed for successful completion of procedures.
- Participating in on-call duty as needed.
- Using and disclosing patient protected health information in accordance with job function, minimal necessity, and confidentiality.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Able to assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
- Verifies informed consent for and assists physicians with interventional procedures.
- Practices aseptic and sterile techniques as necessary and observes universal precautions.
- Selects proper equipment, sets correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gathers supplies prior to performance of procedures.
- Recognizes all radiation safety standards, including Image Gently and Image Wisely, and MR safety standards.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- License to practice radiology in Nebraska.
- Ability to perform quality assessment of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
